New Year's A Great Time For Annual Website Review

Out with the old, and in with the new!  And so it is with our website elements.  The start of a new year is a great time to review our websites and make sure that anything that's changed throughout the past year has been updated appropriately.

1. Update Copyright Year--The first thing to do at the start of a new year is to update the copyright year in your footer.  Keeping this record updated shows that someone is maintaining the website at least annually, and it also helps to protect your page content from unauthorized use.
2. Update Your Contact Info--Check your contact information to make sure that it's still valid.  Did you have a change in staff that needs to be added or deleted?  Did anyone's email or phone number change?  Did your address change?  If you don't have the proper contact information, your visitors will not be able to contact you.
